This is an account of one of our recent client engagements — shared with permission, with the client's name abbreviated for privacy. It illustrates the typical timeline, process, and outcome of working with Eleusis FX on an FTMO $100,000 challenge.
Background
J.M. is a UK-based trader who had been following forex markets for three years. He had a swing trading strategy built around higher timeframe structure and key level confluences — a methodology he had tested thoroughly on a demo account over eighteen months before deciding to pursue a funded account.
He purchased his first FTMO $100,000 challenge independently in late 2025. He passed Phase 1 with twelve days remaining, hitting the 10% profit target while staying well within the daily and maximum drawdown limits. Phase 2 — the verification phase — ended differently. A high-impact NFP release triggered a stop-out that breached the 5% daily loss limit on day seven of Phase 2. Challenge ended. Fee lost.
He purchased a second challenge. Phase 1 again went smoothly — completed in nine days. Phase 2 was progressing well until a gap open on a Monday session moved against his open GBP/USD position before he could manage it. Second challenge failed at the same stage.
At this point he had spent over £300 on challenge fees and invested considerable time. His strategy was not flawed — two Phase 1 completions demonstrated that clearly. Phase 2 was exposing a specific vulnerability: weekend holding risk and news event exposure during what should have been low-risk sessions.
Why He Came to Eleusis FX
J.M. found us through an article on our site. He was not looking to shortcut the process — he wanted a funded account so he could trade his own strategy with meaningful capital. His concern was straightforward: the evaluation phase was costing him time and money, and the two failures were both attributable to risk management gaps specific to the evaluation environment, not to his core trading edge.
He applied through our website. We spoke within 24 hours, confirmed availability for a $100,000 FTMO challenge, and agreed on terms. He purchased a fresh challenge and provided us with credentials.
The Evaluation
Phase 1 was completed in eleven days. We targeted the 10% profit requirement using a conservative position sizing approach — typically 0.5% risk per trade — to maintain substantial buffer against the daily loss limit throughout. We traded on eight of the eleven days, satisfying the minimum trading day requirement with meaningful margin.
Phase 2 completed in seven days. The lower 5% profit target was reached on day seven. We carried no open positions over the weekend. News events were avoided or position sizes were reduced to minimal levels during high-impact releases. Total time from Phase 1 start to Phase 2 completion: eighteen days.
FTMO reviewed the account and activated the funded status. J.M. received his funded account credentials directly from FTMO within the standard review window.
Outcome
J.M. now manages a live $100,000 FTMO funded account. His first profit split — paid after his initial funded month — was approximately £6,400 at an 80% split on a 8% return. He has since scaled to a $200,000 account using FTMO's scaling plan.
The total cost of the Eleusis FX service was a one-time fixed fee. No further involvement from us once the funded account was active — the account, the strategy, and the payouts are entirely his.
What This Case Illustrates
J.M.'s situation is representative of the clients we work with most often. Sound strategy. Verified Phase 1 capability. Failure at Phase 2 due to specific, identifiable risk management gaps in the evaluation environment. The decision to use a passing service was not about avoiding difficulty — it was about removing a structural vulnerability from a process that was otherwise working.
If your situation is similar — you have passed Phase 1 independently, or you are confident in your strategy but not in your ability to manage evaluation-specific risk over a 60-day window — we are worth speaking to. Apply via the form on our homepage or DM us @eleusisfx on Instagram.
